Atlantica is an undersea region (name likely based on the Atlantic ocean or Atlantis) in which the Mermen species live, particularly the mermaid Marina whom Handy meets in "Handy's Sweetheart."
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories[]
Atlantica is one of several different undersea regions in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series. In one story, Marina had met Dylan the Snorkelian, whose people were kidnapped by the Leviathan. After Empath and Handy helped Marina and Dylan rescue the Snorkelians, Marina fell in love with Dylan and thus her relationship with Handy was dissolved, although they would still remain as friends.
