In the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story adaptation of "A Christmas Carol," the Smurfs of that series were engaging in Christmas caroling when they noticed Grouchy was not participating in the holiday events and refused to have anything to do with Christmas.
LD Stories/Expanded AU[]
Within The Light and Dark Series, which crosses over with the Expanded Animated Universe, caroling is an activity that both humans and Smurfs partake. During Crestfallen Christmas, the Smurflings (often accompanied by an adult Smurf) like to go door-to-door caroling and receive a small treat from every Smurf.
