Desserts in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series are often served at the end of lunch and dinner, unless circumstances require smaller meals, and are made by Greedy, Biscotti, and Gelato Smurf. Dessert items made for other times of the day are often called snacks.

In the Smurf Village, Greedy is the established Village Chef, so he has vast knowledge and skill when it comes to baking. He likes to prepare desserts for his secret stash, but eating too many makes him gain weight, which makes him self-conscious about his figure. To combat this, he tries to share at least one or two dessert items per day so he does not feel quite so "greedy."
