"Time always matters."
Father Time is a character who is part of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series.
He is the time guardian who lives in a workshop in the Smurf Forest, whose job is the control of time, although there are limits as to how much he can control time. According to the Smurfs' belief system, he and Mother Nature created the universe together at the moment they were united in their own creation as infants, and the moment after creation took place became adults that were in charge of protecting all that existed.
He is considered the father of wisdom and experience in the Smurfs' belief system, governing over time so that all living creatures will learn to respect its passage in their lives and make the most of every moment that will never come again. His name is also invoked in prayers for the deceased, as the Smurfs ask for him and Mother Nature to comfort them in times of grief.
He is usually a very friendly being, but can get rather upset with someone meddling with his timepieces, especially when they don't know what they're doing. He is friends with Alternis, the time guardian who controls alternate timelines, and Traveler Smurf, a time traveler from the 21st Century. He and Mother Nature both made an appearance at Empath and Smurfette's wedding.
Over the years, as his role and power diminished during his time living on the Earth with humans becoming more populous and pollution and deforestation becoming an increasing problem, he and Mother Nature ended up leaving the Earth for parts unknown.
He usually carries a scythe with which he can control the elements of time to a certain degree.
His most likely voice actor would be Christopher Godwin, who was the voice of Viscount Marlowe Dumar in the Dragon Age II videogame.
