King Gerard's Castle is the home of King Gerard and Clockwork Smurf. It has been used from time to time in the cartoon series. This castle is used amongst the various fanon universes of the Wiki.

Mainstream Smurfs Media

From the cartoon series, the castle is built with stone that can look grey or cream-toned, depending on the light of day, with spires topped by red conical roofs. There are a number of open windows with sill stones meant to support people leaning to look out them, two balconies on either side of the inner towers, and a drawbridge facing the East side. A large moat encircles the castle.

Empath: The Luckiest Smurf Stories

In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, King Gerard's castle is the home of King Gerard and his family, which include Queen Guinevere and their child Prince Jared. It is also where the Clockwork Smurfs were created after Clockwork Smurf and Clockwork Smurfette had made their home in the castle.

LD Stories

In The Smurfs: Light and Dark, the castle maintains the design of the cartoon rendering from "Return of the Clockwork Smurf" with warmer tones and an extended surrounding landscape.

When King Gerard is introduced in The Reluctant Dark Knight, his Grand Ball is thrown in this castle with the intention of meeting possible suitors. It is held in the dance hall, which is an extensive room with tall ceilings and glass windows, smooth stone floors, and three doorways: two are on one side and the third is on the opposing side. They lead to the kitchen and dining areas, the spiral staircase up to the tower of his majesty's private chambers, or the entrance of the courtyard.

As he and Clockwork become more associated with Falla and Peewit, this castle is seen more frequently. More to come later!

Smurfs: The Thomas & Friends Series

In the second story, Tracker went with Feathers to pick up the Clockworks at King Gerard's castle. And later on, Grouchy, Vanity, and Baby Smurf went to King Gerard's castle on Feathers to tell him about Gargamel's wicked deed. And from there, King Gerard banished Gargamel and Azrael but saved Scruple.
