"The greatest treasure that I have in the world is my son."
Lord Caravellan is a human character who appears in the story "Empath The Bandit Smurf". He is the duke of the village of Abelagot whose son Geoffrey is missing. In the story he is visited by Vincent Devereaux and by the two showmasters Stanley and Simon, who brought the Smurfs with them in the hopes that they would distract the duke with some entertainment while Empath, who was going under the identity of the Bandit Smurf, looked for the treasure room so that Devereaux could get his hands on the duke's treasure. While the Smurfs were with Lord Caravellan, they revealed through a theater piece not only Devereaux's intended purpose, but also that the duke's closest friend Ganelon was the one who kidnapped Geoffrey in the hopes of extracting a ransom from the duke. Lord Caravellan had ordered both men to be arrested and put into the dungeon, and then exonerated both Stanley and Simon, having Simon be his protege with Stanley as his own servant.
Lord Caravellan wears a two-toned blue tunic cinched with a black leather belt, with blue leggings, blue shoes, and a gold jeweled necklace.
His most likely voice actor would be Brian Blessed, who played Prince Vultan in the 1980 Flash Gordon movie, or a similar voice.
Lord Caravellan is based on the character simply known as the Duke Of Abealgot from the Smurfs comic book story "The Jewel Smurfer", on which the fanfiction story is based.
