A quarterstaff is a weapon used by Smurfs, Psyches, and humans. It is a long wooden stick that in Smurf scale would be the length of a Smurf's actual height, which is three apples tall.
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories[]
In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, it is the favored weapon of Empath, Hefty, Duncan, Century, and Polaris Psyche due to the fact that it can do damage to their opponents while being non-lethal. Also, Empath and Duncan can use a quarterstaff to pole-vault their way onto higher places or over obstacles.
Hero: The Guardian Smurf stories[]
In the HERO: The Guardian Smurf story series, it is a weapon used by Hero Smurf as well as Fergus MacSmurf, his son William, and occasionally Hawkeye.
The Second Smurfette series[]
In The Second Smurfette series, Juliet is the only Smurf who uses a Quarterstaff. She is very skilled at this and used it to fight off Azrael in her first episode.
