"Rapunzel" is a children's story and play created by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. Although there are many different versions, the main idea revolves around a helpless girl locked away in a tower as her hair grows longer each day. One of he most memorable parts of the story is the famous scene where the prince bids Rapunzel to let down her hair, so that he may use it to climb up the tower and propose to her. In other versions, the prince climbs up the tower without the use of her long hair.

In the Smurf Me Up series, the Smurfs re-enact the play in The Smurf Piper story. The play is interrupted after the whole audience leaves after hearing Hamelin's hypnotic music from his flute.
Empath: The Luckiest Smurf stories[]
In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, Smurfette plays the part of Rapunzel with a randomly-chosen Smurf as the prince. Weaver is usually responsible for simulating the long strands of hair that Rapunzel wears, though for the part where the prince uses the hair to climb up the tower, a thick-braided rope is used instead.
