Pierro "Scribbler" Smurf is a Smurf character who is part of the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series.

History[]

Scribbler is born as Pierro Smurf, the son of Vinetier and Marjorlaine Smurf and the brother of Vino Smurf. Due to constant mispronunciation of that name by his fellow Smurfs, he opted to change his name to Scribbler. During his early years as a young Smurf, his brother was raised mostly in the kitchen helping his parents as well as Baker, Maximilian, Bompastore, and their children with meal preparations. Scribbler, on the other hand, found himself with Picasso Smurf studying art along with his sons Painter, Poet, and Sculptor. At around 50 years of age, Scribbler lost both of his parents to an unknown disease and was raised mostly by Culliford, who became Papa Smurf.

Personality[]

Like Painter, Scribbler takes great pride in his work. He gets offended when anyone talks about his cartoon artwork not being a serious form of art. Like Peyo and Empath, Scribbler tends to draw Papa Smurf with his beard covering his ears.

Scribbler is a constant wine drinker, which is his most common drink order at Tapper's Tavern.

Role[]

He is a Smurf who mostly likes to do cartoon artwork and is a constant contributor to the Smurf Village newspaper. For some reason, he likes to sign off his work under the pen name Peyo, which is the same name of the human cartoon artist who would years later come up with the cartoon characters called the Smurfs. When not doing cartoons, Scribbler also designs logos for various products such as Smurf Cola. Scribbler sings the parts of Smurfs Without Hats songs that are written in Schtroumpf.

Clothing And Appearance[]

Scribbler dresses in a manner similar to Painter Smurf, wearing a blue jacket with a dark red tie. He also speaks with a French accent, being a descendant of the Schtroumpf clan.

Notes[]

  • Scribbler's original name Pierro being mispronounced as Peyo is similar to how the creator of the Smurfs, Pierre Culliford, received his pen name.
