Simon was a human showmaster whom the Smurfs have encountered in the fanfiction story "Empath The Bandit Smurf". Simon's job is to procure whatever acts he could find in order to help his partner Stanley earn money. Unlike Stanley, Simon is very cautious when it comes to finding ways to earn money and refuses to cross certain moral boundaries. He is also very protective of the animals and beings that he uses for the star attractions and will not allow them to be abused.
He and Stanley had found Empath when he was left unconscious while sparring with Century Smurf with quarterstaffs by the River Smurf. Upon Empath's recovery, they presented him as one of the acts in their traveling show in a nearby human village, which Empath, although amnesiac at that point, had performed flawlessly. However, an evil unscrupulous man named Vincent Devereaux, to whom Stanley and Simon had owed money, forced the two humans to have Empath work as a thief to steal valuables from the townsfolk in order the pay off the debt.
Over the course of the story, Stanley and Simon were led by Devereaux in an attempt to steal a valuable treasure from Lord Caravellan by having the Smurfs they captured perform for the Duke to distract him. However, Devereaux's plan was eventually exposed by the Smurfs, and he was captured. Stanley and Simon were cleared of any charges, and Simon was named the Duke's protege with Stanley now as Simon's servant.
Simon is based on the character Godilot from the Smurfs comic book story "The Jewel Smurfer", from which the fanfiction story is adapted.
