The Smurf House Of Archives is basically the village's library in the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series where all the information of the Smurfs is stored. It contains all kinds of books on all types of subjects, including fictional works by famous Smurf authors. Brainy was originally the curator of the house of archives during the time of Empath's first visit to the Smurf Village. In later years, the curator role has been passed down to Indiana, where he does his research and mostly hides from his fellow Smurfs the embarrassment of his barely-grown whiskers.
