| "The Gloved Smurf" |
"The Gloved Smurf" is the pilot story that starts the Smurf Me Up series.
The Plot[]
This is the story of a young boy who got turned into a Smurf and had was left in a coma abandoned in the woods. The new Smurf wanders the woods in hopes of finding help when he sees the former evil wizard Gargamel chasing beings that resemble his own appearance. He decides to go stop the bully and ends up getting caught along with the blue beauty called Smurfette. He sees her and finds her beautiful. He does all he can to keep her safe from the wizard's clutches.
All the Smurfs are ordered to go hide by the elder called Papa Smurf, until he gets taken away by the wizard back to his lair. Glovey runs after Gargamel back to his house, and finds his pet cat and nephew there trying to stop him. Glovey ends up freeing Papa Smurf, but gets captured in his place instead. It turns out later that Smurfette had followed Glovey to help him. She sees Glovey become a prisoner. Glovey gets convinced that it truly is his end and confesses his feelings to Smurfette. Smurfette feels touched and falls in love with Glovey.
Gargamel spots the lovers, and snatches Smurfette to lock her up with Glovey. As Gargamel opens the cage door, Glovey quickly runs out and stomps on the wizard's feet, and grabs Smurfette to make a run for it. Both Smurfs escape back to the village as they get chased by Gargamel, Scrupple, and Azrael. Fortunately for the Smurfs, the trio never find the village.
Smurfette tries to remind Glovey about what he was saying earlier about her, but he gets shy and tries to avoid the conversation. In the end, our hero wins the heart of the girl, but gains the anger and jealousy of the Smurfs.

Trivia[]
- Nobody finds out about Glovey Smurf's real name being Michael until later on, as he was only referred to as "Boy" in the English version. The Spanish version however lets the reader know his name.
